Wow, those sales are seriously driving Parisians into a frenzy - they're out there storming the buses, streets and shops, saving 40-60% off everything...I'm surprised anyone shops at any other time of the year. We bought Liam some new shoes at the OTT Adidas shop on the Champs Elysee, and then went for a walk to Parc Monceau, a lovely park set up in the 1700s by the royalty (before they were executed). It is also associated with a massacre of the Communards in 1871, and various famous Parisians and French artists (like Monet, who painted the scene above in 1876).
Week 2 of the new term starts bright and early so I better go get organized! Bonne Nuit.
