Busy times, many travels, happy boys

Hi everyone...the lack of entries is entirely due to our slightly mad schedules over the last few weeks. The strikes have ended but the pace of school has picked up for the boys. We've had birthdays to attend, and plan (Liam's is this Sunday), and Christmas presents to buy...Jan's been doing a lot of this too as I also had to go to Brussels (inside the fascinating European Parliament building) and Leuven in Belgium for a conference last week, I'm back across the Eurostar route to London again tomorrow (for one night in Nottingham), and then back Friday, birthday party on the weekend, and then off to another event in Zurich for two days next week (also by train).

Boring details aside the boys are hitting their stride right now; they've worked out how to cope with the system at school and get things done without feeling overloaded. They're busy learning a lot of things, as well as the French language (incrementally of course), and we're glowingly proud parents. It is quite fascinating to see how children can cope with and indeed excel when they are challenged (contructively) in new ways.

Otherwise that is it for now. Apologies for being bad correspondents via tele and email...we'll get a breather in a few weeks and be in touch with everyone we owe!

Bye,

Kris
