Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day!
It has been interesting to be here for Christmas and the week before New Year's Eve. All festive and colourful but then many people seem to have disappeared (to houses in the country? to the mountains for some skiing? to the Nile with a new girlfriend?). The tourists have also arrived en masse and the buses and metro cars are full of art gallery and sightseeing people from all over the world.
Anyways we had a great 24-27 December with an afternoon at the circus (a classic one with clowns, slapstick, human cannonballs + a few elements of Parisean burlesque thrown into the mix), and then a lovely Swedish smörgåsbord on the eve of the 24th at our apartment and then a big feast on the 25th at Deanne and Ian's house with their children, Dennis and Peggie. We're all recovering now and starting the rest of the week in s l o w motion.
Bye...
