We spent nearly a week in Bristol (courtesy of Susan and Roger, who lent us their house) and area where I did some research, and we met up with Deanne, Ian, Jocelyn, Sylvia, and Anya who were in nearby Bradford on Avon and some surrounding hiking areas. Near the end of the stay we drove south and spent a day in Saltash (in Cornwall) where we visited one of Jan's old friends from Bristol (Christina and family) and then up north to Stourbridge (West-Midlands) where we visited one of Jan's old friends from Singapore (Lena and family). Lena took us to Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon. Two days in London (including visits to the ever amazing Natural History Museum, Hyde Park, the Parliament buildings (including Big Ben), and the British Museum), and then back via the Eurostar. A lovely visit, much action, many memories, and a lot of diverse ground covered.
