A lovely day begins in Paris with the sun angling in on a building across the street from our apartment in the 14th arrond. Day 1 of the new school year for Tom went very well...Jan and Tom took the Metro to the school bright and early (see a pic of the two of them walking towards the main street where the Alésia metro stop is). The green garbage cans, and the green and yellow recycling cans that Jan and Tom are slaloming through are picked up daily, and the streets and sidewalks are also cleaned daily! I took Liam to play with a new friend who is from Australia (he came to Paris via Perth, Vientiane and Rangoon with parents part of the embassy world), and hung out working in a library near the apartment Liam was visiting his friend in. Liam starts school tomorrow...we're half-way there (ahhhhhh).
