Tom and Liam start school at Ecole Active Bilingue Jeannine Manuel (EABJM) this Tuesday and Wednesday. Wish us all luck with the settling in process...it is bilingual (French-English) and relatively demanding, so we hear. The school is located in the 15th arrondissement, which you can see here in this pic (the school is in the middle of the image). Tuesday includes a brief Intro session but as of Wednesday, as per the French approach to parent-class dynamics, we drop the boys off and then the door is slammed shut...the teachers maintain complete control. We've been priming the boys...time to forget about that friendly Madisonian approach to welcoming everyone and anyone in the school (and classroom).
